But there are a lot of weird food combinations that people swear by that taste good. These are less traditional food combinations and simply sounding wrong. What is flavour?
Flavour is a sensory phenomenon that is a combination of the sensations of taste, odor or aroma, temperature, and texture. Simply it is the “mouthfeel” of the food or drink we have consumed. There are four basic tastes: salty, sweet, sour, and bitter. Combinations of these tastes with different temperatures, aromas, and textures give us a flavour.

- Ice Cream and Fries
The ice cream is cold and sweet while the fries are hot and salty. This is a perfect combination of sweet, salty, hot, and cold! What is in there to not love?
- Apple and Cheese
Yeah, you heard that right. In fact, this combination is a very common combination, especially in England. It seems to have been originated centuries ago. In fact apple pie with cheese (especially cheddar) has also become extremely common and people seem to be loving it.
- Peanut Butter with Burger
While most of the options on this list are a combination of salty and sweet, this combination is a salty and saltier combination. Adding melted peanut butter when forming beef patties has tended to make it juicier and added flavor of the peanut butter makes it a weirdly good-tasting burger.
- Strawberry and Basil
If your mind is open to the possibility of combining strawberries and basil, then be assured that it tastes amazing in drinks like lemonade. A strawberry basil frozen dessert tastes extremely yum just like the lemonade. Sounds weird, tastes surprisingly amazing!
- Chocolates and Chillis
This is a sweet-spicy combination. While trying a sweet-spicy combination can get really tricky, a lot of existing recipes in India exist with this combination. Chocolates with chilies have the taste of chocolate and give a punch of hot tingles to our tongue with the chilies. It sounds so weird but again, tastes absolutely amazing!
